This program is a one-day intensive session for young emerging arts leaders (ages 19-30) to attend on September 28, 2024. The lab aims to provide mentorship and training to support emerging BIPOC arts leaders, directors, and community arts organizers in Vancouver.
This program aims to support a cohort of emerging BIPOC folks in leadership positions who may be struggling with their path in leadership and finding proper supportive systems in a colonial industry.
Emerging BIPOC Arts Leaders Lab hopes to ensure long term support for local emerging BIPOC arts leaders by providing a safe space with like-minded arts leaders to meet peers who are going through similar challenges in leading an organization.
Emerging BIPOC Arts Leaders Lab aims to:
- Provide support, training, and mentorship through a one-day intensive session
- Benefit wider arts community in Vancouver by providing free collaborative and safe learning environment for emerging BIPOC arts leaders
